Although Insider Coupons provides graphic design at no additional cost to the advertiser, we understand some art will need to be provided, be it photographs taken with a digital camera or complete coupon designs.

Insider Coupons are produced using computer-to-plate technology. Any "camera-ready art" which contains screens or halftones must be supplied in digital format. Ads with line-art only may be submitted as "camera-ready art". Please provide high quality black and white art for logos and other line-art graphics. Photographs should be originals, not color copies or computer prints.

  • Ads should be submitted in EPS or PDF file formats. Other formats may be acceptable - call for clarification.
  • All native files must be trapped before sending to Insider Coupons. Basic trapping rules apply: overprint black when possible, apply 1/2 point trap and never pro-mix type smaller than 10 point.
  • Type should be converted to paths or create outlines before saving. If this is not possible always include both Macintosh printer and screen fonts and they must be Post Script fonts - True Type fonts are not acceptable.
  • When saving PDFs make certain the resolution is set for press quality - screen quality is NOT acceptable.
  • All color scans and photographs should be high resolution files - 300 dpi at actual size. They must be in CMYK mode - NO RGB. All colors used in the ad, including spot colors, must be specified as CMYK or process colors.
  • Always include a print out or color proof of the ad.
  • Files will be accepted via email on CD or DVD. Clearly identify your disk and only include the files necessary for your ad in this publication.

Finished Coupon Size is 8 3/8" x 3 5/8" no bleeds are allowed. Submitted ads which do not meet these specification will be resized to fit.
